Acer W4 runs Windows Phone Mango, doesn’t impress

May 31st, 2011

Acer, one of Microsoft’s new Windows Phone hardware partners (alongside Fujitsu and ZTE), has showcased what seems to be its very first WP-based handset: the Acer W4. Running Windows Phone Mango , the Acer W4 features a 3.6 inch WVGA display, HSPA (900/2100 or 850/1900 – perfect for AT&T, isn’t it?), Wi-Fi, DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1, a 5MP camera, 8GB of internal memory, and a single-core 1GHz processor. Upon seeing these specs, I immediately thought: hey, someone should remind Acer we’re in 2011 now, not in 2010.
