Sharp planning glasses-free 3D phones for US, India & China in 2011

Sharp has put its 3.8-inch parallax-barrier glasses-free 3D display – as previewed at IFA 2010 – into a trio of Android smartphones, and as well as the Japanese launch kicking off next month, the company also intends to bring the technology to the US, India and China in 2011. In December, the Sharp GALAPAGOS 003SH and GALAPAGOS 005SH will each arrive on Japanese carrier Softbank, as well as the Sharp LYNX SH-03C on NTT DoCoMo. Each will support multitouch and 3D visuals; it’s unclear whether Sharp will launch the same devices in the overseas markets, or put the parallax-barrier display into different phones

T-Mobile Officially Announced myTouch 4G

The rumors we heard earlier this week were true, T-Mobile is set to release it’s upcoming myTouch on November 3rd. Named the myTouch 4G to reflect it’s ability to be used on T-Mobiles HSPA+ network and will launch for $199 with a 2-year contract. The phone is just as we have heard and expected.

Samsung will delay Galaxy Tab launch in South Korea By kunal • October 13, 2010   Samsung has announced that its Galaxy Tab device will be delayed for its home market. Samsung was supposed to show Galaxy Tab on October 14 but has postponed it because Samsung wants to offer improved localized apps.

The 9.9 thin Windows Phone 7 phone features tri-band HSDPA support, 1GHz QSD8250 Snapdragon processor, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 4-inch Super AMOLED display, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1, A-GPS, 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 5MP camera with CMOS flash, digital compass, various sensors, FM Radio, noise suppression tech from Audience and 1500mAh battery that can give talk time of up to 6.5 hours. AT&T will launch the device on November 8 for $199.99 on contract

Samsung puts Android, bada in the forefront, Windows Phone for business but has no place for Symbian

  Looks like Samsung is temporarily dropping Symbian from its multi-OS strategy . Claiming “no visible demand for Symbian,” YH Lee, head of marketing at Samsung Mobile confirmed that they have not planned any Symbian devices for now but will launch if they see some consumer demand.

T-Mobile G2 live photos leak

The T-Mobile G2 has had its first live sighting, and it seemingly confirms what we suggested earlier in the week regarding the upcoming HSPA+ smartphone.   Engadget ’s tipster sent them a couple of photos of the handset, complete with T-Mobile branding, showing the G2 is basically the same as the HTC Vision .

Sprint releasing Epic 4G on August 11?

  If BGR’s source is to be believed, Sprint will launch the much awaited Epic 4G on August 11. There’s no pictorial confirmation but the source claims the launch is to give Epic 4G a one-day sales advantage to tackle supposedly Droid 2 and Blackberry Torch that are expected to go on sale on Verizon and AT&T respectively. Epic 4G is the most superior Galaxy S version that features a physical QWERTY keyboard and 4G connectivity, in addition to regular Galaxy S features.
