Samsung to launch Wave II in South Korea this month
January 25th, 2011Samsung’s Wave II (SHW-M210S) which we spied a couple of months back will be launched in South Korea by this month. According to Chosun , who have apparently got a confirmation says Samsung will launch the device by end of this month

LG’s Optimus 2X Tegra 2 phone gets SlashGear hands-on treatment
January 6th, 2011We’ve been eagerly anticipating LG’s Tegra 2 powered Optimus 2X smartphone ever since we first saw it leak out, and the fact that Motorola has since announced the ATRIX 4G doesn’t dampen our enthusiasm. Over at SlashGear , Vince has grabbed some hands-on time with the Optimus 2X courtesy of NVIDIA, and managed to put it through its paces and even compare the Android handset to the DROID X.

NEC dual-screen Android tablet & Android netbook incoming
December 17th, 2010NEC will launch a dual-touchscreen version of their LifeTouch/Smartia tablet at CES 2011 next month, though full details of the presumably clamshell device are currently unknown. According to PC World , the tablet – which will also carry the LifeTouch brand – has a pair of 7-inch touchscreens which can show different information simultaneously.

Samsung hit 1m Galaxy Tab sales early; predict 1.5m by end of year
December 4th, 2010Samsung has sold 1m Galaxy Tab tablets , prematurely meeting its target for 2010 sales. The news comes a little under two weeks since the company announced 600,000-strong sales of the Android tablet; now Samsung has increased its target to 1.5m units by the end of the year. 10-percent of sales have been in Korea alone, with the Samsung slate proving popular with the home crowd since it went on sale there on November 13
