Motorola XOOM WiFi clears FCC

The WiFi-only version of Motorola’s XOOM tablet has been spotted crossing the FCC , ahead of what’s believed to be availability in early Q2 2011. No details or photos of the slate were included, thanks to the usual confidentiality agreement, but the tablet is expected to only differ in what connectivity options it includes. According to the report, the XOOM will have WiFi a/b/g/n with 2.4GHz and 5GHz support, along with Bluetooth.

BYD’s Alice tablet packs Tegra 2, Froyo & 8hr battery

Another day, another Android tablet, though unfortunately this is a Tegra 2 slate that, for the moment at least, you won’t actually be able to buy. ODM BYD is showing its new Alice design , an 8.9-inch WSVGA slate running Froyo on NVIDIA’s second-gen Tegra 250 chipset. As well as WiFi, Bluetooth and all the usual sensors, Alice has a useful kick-stand on the back

Google Voice Updated to Version 0.2.0.2

Google Voice has been updated to version 0.2.0.2 and as per the usual Google updates, there is no change log. It would be fun to talk about even minor performance improvements but nothing is certain. Feel free to download the latest update and let us know if you find anything
