Galaxy S Android 2.2 Delay Addressed by T-Mobile â€“ Maybe Due Next Week?

For those of you all saddened by the wait for Android 2.2 Froyo for your Galaxy S device, youâ€™ve got a response from T-Mobile now. Having supposedly delivered Android 2.2 for Galaxy S owners by December 1st, T-Mobile now says thusly: â€œUnfortunately the 2.2 update will not be available via KIES today as expected and Samsung have confirmed that FOTA will not feature as part of this update, but should appear at a later date.

Sony Ericsson rolling out Android update for Xperia X8 and X10

If you are one of the users that picked up the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 or X10 and have been counting the days until there was an update for Android offered, you can stop counting. SE is rolling out the update for Android to the devices right now and the only catch is the update is gradually rolling out. The update brings the X10 and X8 up to Android 2.1.

Galaxy Tab will receive the Gingerbread and Honeycomb updates

Â Not a surprise but if youâ€™re looking for some official confirmation, Samsung India at an event yesterday confirmed that Galaxy Tab will be blessed with Androidâ€™s future updates. Samsung will release Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and Honeycomb (Android 3.x) upgrades for the Galaxy Tab. Unfortunately, Samsung didnâ€™t put a tentative date on both the updates.
