Notion Ink Adam touchscreen damage means Valentine’s delay for some tableteers

January 31st, 2011

Tough luck for a small portion of Notion Ink Adam preorder customers this weekend, with the news that they’ll have to wait until around Valentine’s day before they get their Android tablet. The company has confirmed that the accidental touchscreen damage experienced by some units during transit, coupled with the Chinese New Year holidays, means a slightly longer than expected delay before replacement parts can be arranged.

LG Sentio Heading to T-Mobile on June 30th

June 4th, 2010

You remember the LG Sentio, right? It was one of the three brand-spanking-new LG handsets making its way to T-Mobile USA. Hopefully you do, because it was pretty big news for both companies, as it marks the first time LG has released a handset for the wireless carrier. Plus, it’s the only touchscreen device of the three new handsets, and we all know how much everyone loves touchscreens. So if you were actually interested, at least we can give you a(n) (expected) release date.

LG Sentio 580x540 LG Sentio Heading to T Mobile on June 30th

The LG Sentio features a 3-inch touchscreen, which features LG’s customized, widget-based User Interface. You’ll also be able to access T-Mobile’s 3G, access your email, and utilize that microSD card slot. GPS and a 3MP camera round out the feature set. There aren’t many features to list here, because nothing’s changed about the Sentio. It’s still a relatively mediocre featurephone. But, nevertheless, it’s the best of the tri-fecta.

The slide comes from T-Mobile, and it’s saying that the handset is going to become available for customer purchase starting June 30th. Not too much longer to wait if you’re in the market for a new featurephone, especially if you like navy-hued ones, with a touch of silver. No word quite yet on pricing, but we can’t really see this going for a high price tag, even if it does have the touchscreen. But, stranger things have happened.
