AT&T to get a plethora of devices including Blackberry Torch 2 and HTC ChaCha

A recent leaked document indicates that AT&T will be getting a whole bunch of new smartphones in the future. Among the large list are the HTC ChaCha(HTC LeLe) and the Blackberry Torch 2 9810 .

BlackBerry Torch 2 video overview in the wild alongside even more live pics

When a couple of blurry live images of the upcoming BlackBerry Torch 2 leaked last week, we were promised that clearer shots would come. And they have indeed surfaced, courtesy of TechnoBuffalo and one of their sources. Like the blurry pics before them, the new, clear shots show a smartphone that looks very much like its predecessor, the original BlackBerry Torch .

BlackBerry Torch 9800 Covered in 18K Gold

Some of us might not be the biggest fan of BlackBerry or vise versa. Unfortunately, some things on the BlackBerry Torch 9800 does brought a big disappointment. Like most new smartphones was launched with 1GHz processors and a high-resolution screens but the Torch does not have any of the listed.

The app company will be giving away up to 2 BlackBerry Torch devices; one Torch will be awarded to the winner of the sweepstakes, and if the winner was referred by a friend, then the referring friend will win the second Torch (if applicable)

The AT&T BlackBerry Torch is apparently selling really well and despite rumors that launch day wasn’t too successful, AT&T is putting a lot of marketing dollars behind the device. This is pretty typical with BlackBerry sales as we don’t see a huge launch day but rather steady sales as customers upgrade and renew their plans

New, cheaper BlackBerry slider in the making?

Perhaps unhappy with how sales of the Torch 9800 are going, RIM now reportedly wants to launch a new BlackBerry slider that should be smaller and cheaper than the first one. BBleaks has it that the new slider smartphone will be “entry-level” – this means carriers could offer it for under $100 on contract. Of course, the Torch 9800 is itself $99.99 on contract at AT&T as of Monday, so the upcoming BlackBerry should be offered for $50 or something like that.

BlackBerry Torch 9800 now available in Australia on Optus

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 has been officially launched in Australia today by Optus. As of now, it’s only available for small and medium business customers, and it’s free on a $79/month 2-year contract. There’s no information yet as to when the Torch will be available for other customers
