Acer Stream August 9th launch confirmed
July 26th, 2010We’d already spotted the Acer Stream product page over at Expansys , with the new Android smartphone showing up there with an “early August” release estimate, but now the whole thing has been made official. According to the press release, the Stream will arrive on August 9th 2010, priced at £399 including VAT ($615), though the product page is currently showing August 7th as the due date.

July 22nd, 2010Retailer Expansys has announced that it will be the exclusive supplier of the Acer Stream Android smartphone in the UK. Priced at £399.99 ($610) including tax, and set to go on sale come August 3rd, the Acer Stream takes on the Google Nexus One with a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera (with autofocus but no flash) and an HDMI output. There’s also the usual mixture of triband 900/1900/2100 HSDPA/HSUPA, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS, along with DLNA media sharing, 2GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot.
