Amazon Kindle Android Tablet Hands-On Revealed
September 3rd, 2011It appears that Amazon’s future plans for a brand new line of Android tablets is very real and that tech journalist MG Siegler has gotten his hands on one this week. This device is a 7-inch tablet whose form factor is not unlike the BlackBerry PlayBook according to Siegler, and yes, indeed, it is running Android [SORT OF]. What Siegler is saying he’s acting on is strict orders to not reveal anything TOO telling about the future of Amazon’s tablets, but he’s sure got a whole heck of a lot of information from a source that doesn’t appear to want to give too much of the surprise away.

HTC EVO 4G software update rolling out now
August 25th, 2011For the masses of HTC EVO 4G users out there you’ll be happy to know that starting yesterday, a software maintenance update has started rolling out for those lovely EVO’s of yours. You might want to head over and click the check for updates button in settings because it appears HTC has something waiting for you. We all know the Gingerbread update caused a bit of problems that have mostly all been fixed, but this update should bring even more changes and help the overall user experience
Samsung Mobile hires Steve “Cyanogen†Kondik
August 16th, 2011Looks like Google wasn’t the only one getting a huge acquisition today . While they were off buying Motorola Mobility today Samsung was busy hiring yours truly — Steve Kondik (aka Cyanogen himself). This news is almost just as big as this mornings news and the first thing that came to my mind was a Galaxy S III CM Edition, I want one and I want it now! Cyanogen is one of, if not the best developer to ever hack an Android phone since Android was first released.

This isn’t the newest innovation on the marketplace, of course, but it’s certainly something everyone should have a knowledge of! Below you’ll find instructions on how you can have your mobile phone in one hand, not connected to anything except a Wi-Fi network, and another device in your other hand accessing the microSD card of the first just by being connected to the same Wi-Fi network! Neato! Before we begin, you’ll want to grab the File Expert app from the Android Marketplace – it’s totally free and works on essentially all Android devices. Note also that this process has been tested by the fine folks at XDA Developers on PC, Android, and iOS, so you’ll pretty much be safe to say you’re gonna have this mother in action before the day is through.

Pogoplug Photo, Music, and Video Streaming App for Android Updated
August 4th, 2011Recently the Pogoplus app for Android received a large update that includes many new features and bug fixes. For those that don’t know much about Pogoplus it’s like Dropbox, or Google Music bundled into one. You can stream and share picture, movies, music and documents to everywhere from anywhere you’d like.
