June 14th, 2011US Cellular’s version of the ubiquitous Samsung Galaxy S, the Samsung Mesmerize , has just received a maintenance software update that fixes bugs and adds some security patches. It is for the latter that you should not postpone updating, even if you find you haven’t encountered the bugs that this update fixes.

Verizon’s Motorola Droid 3 to be announced on July 7?

That’s what we learned was the situation back on the 5th of May via a sales call with Barnes & Noble themselves. What we’ve just received now is an invite to an event that takes place that very day at a Barnes & Noble location of utmost secrecy! What will this mystery device be?

Motorola XOOM Android 3.1 update this week; WiFi XOOM “within the next several weeksâ€
May 12th, 2011Motorola has confirmed a timescale for the XOOM Android 3.1 upgrade , announced earlier this week at Google IO . As expected, the Verizon version of the XOOM will get the update first, with the new software rolling out this week. As for those with WiFi-only XOOM tablets, or those with the 3G version but on carriers other than Verizon Wireless, they’ll be getting Android 3.1 “within the next several weeks.†That staggered release schedule is likely to come as something of a disappointment.
Samsung Infuse 4G available from AT&T May 15th for $200
May 5th, 2011Although we had previously thought that the Infuse would launch on May 12th according to a Costco coupon book, we have just found out via an AT&T press release that the phone will be officially available on May 15th for $199.99 on a new two year contract. We initially saw this super cool phone back at CES in January, but the phone’s release went quiet for a while until now. The Samsung Infuse 4G has a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen
