Apple has start to rolled out its first software update for the iOS 5. The new iOS 5.0.1 fixes various bugs, including the possible root cause that affect your iPhone battery life. This is also the first time that you can update your iPhone without iTunes.

HTC EVO 3D Software Update Now Available, Brings screenshots and bug fixes
August 19th, 2011HTC has just updated the HTC EVO 3D and they are basically fixing the issues that the first OTA caused the device from back when it launched. While the update didn’t take too long I’m sure some wish this would have came a bit sooner.

HTC Sensation 4G 2.3.4 Gingerbread Update Rolling Out Now
August 19th, 2011The HTC Sensation 4G on T-Mobile is all set to start receiving an OTA update today. It starts today and should hit most handsets within the next week. As always you can do and manually check for updates if you don’t want to wait.

Dell launches update for Stage with SyncUp and Stage Remote for Android and more
July 28th, 2011Dell has announced a new software launch that is available for the Streak 5 and Streak 7 Android platforms and computers. The announcement is for the next generation of the Stage software from the company with access to music, video, and photos across all Stage enabled devices. The Stage update also uses SyncUp from Nero to allow for 2GB of free cloud storage for your device

T-Mobile G2x Launching Again? Should be in-stock soon and running Gingerbread
July 26th, 2011For those that have been following along with the entire T-Mobile G2x “situation” you probably have had your share of issues. First we heard it was pulled from the online store for quality control issues , later it was said this was due to demand and nothing was wrong but the device has been out of stock online and in T-Mobile stores since that first ran back at the end of May. It appears T-Mobile has the 2.3 Gingerbread update ready to go, and will be re-launching the phone in stores this week.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 Headed to Sprint on July 24th

It’ll be available in a 16GB WiFi version for around $499, and will be available in Sprint stores starting on July 24th. We should note that a software update is being planned by Sammy for this summer, and it’s unclear whether the Tab 10.1 will launch with the update preinstalled.
Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for Verizon’s HTC Thunderbolt coming on June 30?
June 18th, 2011Back in April, we told you that the HTC Thunderbolt 4G would get Android 2.3 Gingerbread before the end of June, and it looks like this is indeed going to happen. According to Android and Me and a Verizon insider, there’s a software update scheduled for June 30, which will bring not only Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, but also Sense UI 2.1, Skype and gTalk video functionality, pre-installed Amazon Appstore, enhanced aGPS functionality, and enhanced Microsoft Exchange extensions.
