Apple opens another lawsuit against Samsung, This time in the Netherlands

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Going on Sale in Australia, Apple didn’t win
August 16th, 2011Despite Apple’s frivolous attempts to block the Samsung Galaxy Tab in many markets such as Australia and even the entire European Union, it appears that sales will surge forward in both areas according to recent news. First we saw the sales might be halted in Australia but quickly learned they will continue as planned and go on sale shortly .

Devs claim payments from Google aren’t matching Amazon Market app sales
August 12th, 2011There are some Android developers that aren’t happy campers. Apparently, some of the devs have taken to the Google Market forums to complain that the payments they are receiving aren’t matching up with the sales of their apps. The issue isn’t widespread apparently with only a few complaining that their checks are short.

Google Speaks Out against Patent Attacks on Android
August 4th, 2011Google has decided to speak out against the slew of lawsuits, mostly in regards to patents, that have been slung at Android recently. Denouncing the attacks as a “hostile organized campaign†by the likes of Microsoft, Oracle, Apple, and others. The post, from Google’s Chief Legal Officer, says that Google’s is looking into a number of ways to defend against these legal attacks, which Google says are being used in lieu of innovation as a means of competing with Android.
