HTC has promised to unlock their bootloaders on future phones, which is awesome for sure. We have been left, however with several great phones that are still locked down. Luckily developers are working to free those phones that were locked down before the community talked some sense into HTC

For all you Sony Ericsson lovers out there it seems SE might be getting closer to an official release of 2.3.3 Gingerbread for the Xperia X10 . The Xperia X10 was originally launched on Android 1.6 and the wait for a newer version of Android was a long road if you were waiting for an official release

Sony Ericsson may have abandoned Android OS update plans for the XPERIA X10, but that doesn’t mean the modding community is done with the smartphone. So there’s been Android 2.2 Froyo running on the HTC HD2, an HTC Desire HD ROM ported to the HD2, and now it’s looking pretty legit that some folks in China have got Windows Phone 7 running on there too! What a versatile little bugger that HD2 is.
