Research In Motion has finally decided to announce the BlackBerry Bold 9780 . The 9780 is the first Bold smartphone to run BlackBerry OS 6 – but we already knew that, since the handset has been confirmed, re-confirmed , and even presented on some carriers’ official websites in the last few weeks. The 9780 is not too different from the Bold 9700

RIM has waged war on Apple after Steve Jobs criticised the firm at Apple’s earnings announcement on Monday (18 October). Jobs had said that devices such as RIM’s PlayBook tablet are ‘dead on arrival’ because, at seven-inches, they are smaller in size than Apple’s iPad.
Recently, analysts from all over the Internet have been saying that RIM is dead in the water and it’s only a matter of time until they become like Palm. It’s hard to not believe them too.

During the Apple iPhone 4 Antenna press conference, Steve Jobs claimed that Apple’s antenna issues were not specific to the iPhone, and other smartphones such as the BlackBerry Bold 9700 experience similar issues.
