Patents, the word that was majorly used in legal wars in 2011 by IT manufacturing giants against each other is something all of them want to keep up with. In 2011, IBM remained at the number one position with 6180 patents to its credit, achieving this feat for the 19th time in a row. However, the Asian giant Samsung came at number two with 4894 patents to its credit

Bizzy is Perfect Mix of Yelp and Foursquare

I’m a big fan of Foursquare and while I like leaving “tips” at the places I check-in at and earning badges such as “I’m on a boat”, I’ve always wanted more integration of a rating system for the places I’ve explored kind of like Yelp offers. That’s why I was pleasantly surprised to find  Bizzy , a free mobile app that allows people to quickly and easily “check out” from where they’ve been. However, the best feature of the app is its integration of a ”love it”, “okay” or “no thx” rating system.

Get Android 3.1 on your Acer Iconia Tab A500 right now with new ROMs

Last week I mentioned that the Acer Iconia Tab A500 would be getting an update to Android 3.1 officially in Germany and a few other places on July 5. The launch date for the US and many other places has yet to be offered. If you want Android 3.1 on your A500 and you don’t want to wait, you can get it right now via two new ROMS.

Facebook for Android Receives Update

November 15th, 2010

Facebook for Android has just received a small update that fixes many bugs as well as adds the ability to upload higher resolution photos. The update is minor, but the bug fixes such as the fix to improve Places usage in non-English locations, are highly welcome.
