Samsung Galaxy Tab now only $299 outright in Australia

The Samsung Galaxy Tab was the first Android-powered tablet to be released by a major manufacturer, and as such has seen quite reasonable sales levels so far. One can presume though that the onslaught of Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablets that keep being announced each week now has not done good things for those sales numbers, especially considering that the Galaxy Tab runs Android 2.2 Froyo and is likely never going to get updated to a tablet-optimized version of the operating system. As such, we’re starting to see the Galaxy Tab discounted in various places.

Sprint to get Wi-Fi Motorola Xoom first, 4G WiMax version later

Yesterday we told you that the Motorola Xoom is headed to Sprint , something which has been reported before . Furthermore, yesterday’s news was that it would reach the Now Network with support for WiMax – Sprint’s 4G. And both of those things are true, and are still happening, with one major caveat though.
