GameStop embraces Android for Streaming Games

GameStop is diving in the deep end of the mobile game streaming, having recently purchased Spawn Labs. Their plan is to go head to head with Steam, and do it with Android leading the charge. With Spawn Labs, GameStop will provide game streaming to any internet connected device, and the mobile market in particular.

Nielsen – Users want more Android

Android Community 101: Android Licensing

There’s been a bit of confusion on the part of everyone from the highest ranked “who is not to be named” official working for a manufacturer to the lowliest developer of apps and writer of posts on what it means for a company to have their product “licensed” with Google. One of the more popular ideas is that for a manufacturer to release a product with Android mobile OS working on it, they MUST go through Google to have it licensed and approved. Android App Development Course Offered at New Jersey Institute of Technology

In a press release sent out today by NJIT, we’ve learned that there’s what must be the most amazing class ever offered in the history of a University ever. The Android Operating System Application Development Course starts January 18, 2011, and is open to the public. It’ll give you all the skills and tools you’re going to certainly need to design and implement software using the Android 2.2 environment (so if you’re in 2.3 or higher you’re out of luck?) and all it costs is $1,050.
