We have all been seeing a lot of dual-core phones on the horizon, and one thing we always do first is a Quadrant benchmark or something of that sort. Now this does not represent real world testing, but it gives us a pretty good idea on what is to come.

Let’s face it contracts are not for everyone, they’re binding, and although they offer competitive pricing for data plans (they have to to compete) many users who prefer to go the prepaid route have not seen cheap option plans. That looks like it will be changing now with a recently leaked T-Mobile Prepaid Broadband plans sheet. According to this information sheet we can expect the following plans: $10 = 100MB for 7 Days – plan complete with whichever comes first $30 = 300MB for 30 Days – plan complete with whichever comes first $50 = 1GB for 30 Days – plan complete with whichever comes first The plans are coming, and although they are not spectacular, or close to, prepaid users will likely love the options apart from their pay by the min/MB they have to do now
On the official T-Mobile UK forums we got word of the 2.2 Android update coming to the Galaxy S by the end of the month. The update will not be pushed over the air and will be available for download through the Samsung Kies PC application.

We are well aware that a bunch of you are waiting for your Droid X Froyo update, and you are thinking any day now that it will be available. Well at the soonest, it looks like it will be another 2 to 3 weeks, is the latest rumor that has come across. One of the issues we are hearing is when updating from 2.1 to 2.2 there is an Exchange issue that is wiping the security policies
Samsung has been hush-hush on pricing since the Galaxy Tab was announced this morning. Probably, because they are working with carriers to get it at subsidized pricing. This has not kept some stores online from putting it up for pre-order though
As soon as news broke that an R2-D2 inspired Motorola Droid 2 would be gracing the real world, Star Wars fans all over the place got a little bit more excited for one of their little robots. Now that the Droid 2 has officially launched, a lot of people remained, asking where on Earth (or perhaps, in the galaxy) their blue-and-white version was. There’s a lot of speculation going on right now, about whether or not T-Mobile’s first HSPA+ device is going to be. And, while their teaser site has Vanguard written all over it (a phone manufactured by HTC, mind you), it looks like a new tipster speaking with Android Central says otherwise
