As you’ve probably already found out, yesterday Nokia announced its first MeeGo smartphone – the N9 . Today, on Nokia’s official blog , the new N9 has been presented as “the fastest image-capturing phone on the market.†Reportedly, you can snap a photo with the N9 in just 2.6 seconds (this includes turning the camera on, readying the viewfinder, focusing on the subject, and capturing the image) – that’s faster than Apple’s Apple iPhone 4, Samsung Galaxy S II, and even digital cameras like the Canon PowerShot S95.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play was supposed to be this revolutionary device that would be the first gaming-focused smartphone to actually be successful. Yet whether or not Sony Ericsson’s dreams about it have made it to reality is certainly up for debate, with the phone seeing price cut after price cut (which may signal that sales aren’t going all that well). First, it was the US of A, and now the Xperia Play has become cheaper in the UK as well.

Cricket Wireless is certainly not known for offering high-end smartphones, so I was surprised to find out that the regional US carrier is getting ready to launch the Huawei Glory (aka Huawei M886). Now, Huawei usually makes low-to mid-end phones (like the Ascend , released by Cricket at the end of last year), but the Glory is a high-end device and, fortunately, it’s also affordable

The team at SE really make some sexy looking devices, starting all the way back with the Xperia X10. Â The image we have today, albeit a blurry one, tells us we’re expecting another sleek beauty out of the Xperia duo.
