Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S Announced, 1.4 Ghz CPU and 4.2″ Display

The news is already starting to pour out of IFA and Sony Ericsson has just announced their new flagship Android offering, the Xperia Arc S. We can expect to see this new flagship phone debut this October and while the details are still pouring in we do have some pretty impressive hardware specs for you after the break. Sony Tablet S Revealed as Release Name for S1

It appears that Sony’s first big Android tablet effort has an official name beyond the very basic “S1″ moniker we’ve been seeing thus far. This tablet will now be called the Sony Tablet S and will indeed be “PlayStation Certified” which places it as only the second Android device to be dubbed so, right after the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY . This tablet will be blasting into your living room running Android 3.1 Honeycomb sooner than later and will, if Sony does indeed release it with this new “All Our Innovations Folded Into One” set of info intact, have a tablet that allows you to control your whole living room at the tap of a display.

And it’s going to do so with some big fat pixels. It’s Minecraft Pocket Edition, the mobile version of the “Fastest Growing Independent PC Gaming Franchise” (in history*) as developed by Mojang as released today exclusively on the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY. What the folks at Mojang mean by what I just wrote before the * above is that Minecraft is currently the most downloaded paid-for independent PC game of all time.
