As of yesterday, we know for sure that Samsung will announce a new high-end Galaxy S Android smartphone at MWC 2011, on February 13. Korean website Nocutnews has more info on the new handset, including a list of its specs (some of which being already known)

Samsung has officially confirmed that it’s getting ready to announce a next-generation Galaxy S Android smartphone at MWC 2011.

Since it plans to sell more than 60 million smartphones this year , Samsung needs to introduce at least one true successor to the Galaxy S (launched last summer and sold in more than 10 million units around the world). The successor might be the Samsung Galaxy S2 – we’ve previously heard that it would feature a dual-core processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Not long ago, the idea of a Nokia Windows Phone 7 device was downright ridiculous. Here’s a very interesting rumor coming – as many other rumors – from Mobile-review ’s Eldar Murtazin: the first Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) tablet will be launched by Google in collaboration with Motorola, and it will be called Motopad. Unfortunately, details about the Motopad are scarce, but it’s said that it will have a 7 inch display – like the Samsung Galaxy Tab

The leaks of the Nokia C7 are ramping up, so it may be safe to say that it will get announced during Nokia World in September. We’ve first seen the C7 about two months ago, with the leak of some pictures of its black variant. Then, an XML file on Nokia’s own website confirmed its existence and impending release
There have been some interesting developments in Nokia land these past few days. Let’s start with the newest and  most interesting to me. A video captured from the PC emulator and showcasing some of the new Nokia Meego for smartphones interface features, like desktop widgets, integrated/social phonebook, App store access and  music player, has been posted on Youtube few hours ago
