Pinball HD for Tegra Out TODAY – Extra Rendered Enhancements Included!

May 7th, 2011

Today is the day that Android finally has the greatest pinball game thus far created for the mobile platform, that being Pinball HD from Gameprom. This game we took a brief look at and reviewed a little bit ago and we raved and ranted about it and everyone had a really great time. That was a demo of the game where only the wild west table was open

Android Community App of the Week: Reddita

May 4th, 2011

Hello all and welcome to the Android Community App of the Week! This week we’ve got a rather simple, uncluttered, excellently constructed app that allows you to explore your daily Reddit batch of stories, images, videos, and etcetera in an Android 3.0 Honeycomb-specific environment! That’s right, it’s a freaking Android tablet app! These are still rare at the moment I write this post, so you must excuse my excitement over what may seem like so small a thing in the distant future.

Skype with Video for Android Mini Review [Pre-Release]

April 12th, 2011

The only reason I call this app review a mini review is because there’s simply not that much to say about it. It appears, from here, and this far into the app, that this Skype with Video chat does exactly what it says it does and it does it well. Remember back when we took a look at the app called Tango – another video chat app?

BlueStacks is Android on Windows PCs

April 5th, 2011

Well would you look at that? I suppose it had to happen eventually: a company by the name of BlueStacks has developed a software solution that works on Windows based PCs which allows users to utilize a full Android experience. As our sister-site SlashGear’s Ben Bajarin notes , several PC companies have shown interest in this odd solution already, OEMs thinking that it might not be a terrible idea to try out the ability to run this ever-growing mobile OS out on their not-so-mobile hardware.

Firefox 4.0 for Android Download Available Now

March 29th, 2011

Behold the newest version of Firefox for Android, Firefox 4, or 4.0 if you prefer, a browser that Mozilla is saying is clocking in at three times the speed of Android’s stock browser. They say there’s JavaScript engine tweaks (this is what’d make it much faster,) tabbed browsing (I hope so!), Firefox Sync, and yes, add ons! They’ve added an official walkthrough video of the new features and we’ve got it for you here below – descend upon it while you download the massive 13MB file from the Android Market! Included in this new release is Firefox Sync, a sister that pulls all your desktop bookmarks, browsing history, open tabs, form data, and passwords to your mobile version, back to your desktop version, and back and forth again forever into infinity! This means you’ll only have to log into YouTube or Facebook in one place and you’ll be good to go anywhere you go! We’re happy there’s some HTML5 support in the mix, but sad to see a lack of Flash support

Dell Venue Review

March 21st, 2011

Because Dell has positioned this phone as a no-nonsense Android 2.2 Froyo smartphone that doesn’t pretend to have the absolute best in any one category of features, instead aiming for a group of people who trust the brand, trust the feel, and trust the look of the phone, so too will this review be short and sweet.

A Solution for the Phrase, “I’ve Slept Since Then”

March 4th, 2011

Posted by: Ray Walters March 4, 2011 I am sure plenty of people can relate to having arguments with others about past events.  Where you were, what you ate, who was with you.  I am pretty sure my wife and I had one of those last night, but hey, I have slept since then, not sure if I remember the whole thing. Well Android users, there is an app to help with that last statement.  In our American culture of ever increasing workloads, busier schedules and onslaught of sensory input, it can be tough to try to keep everything in our heads.  A new app called ” Ibiograph ” tries to help keep all your memories in a sort of “cloud diary” if you will, with little effort on your part using a widget on your desktop. Probably the most interesting piece is that Ibiograph will take the items you have placed in your history and give you a “This Day In Your History” display on your desktop, allowing you to view what you were doing say a month ago or a year ago on this day in your personal history
