We first heard about the existence of the Samsung Galaxy S Plus at the end of March, when we discovered that this is meant to be a slightly updated version of the original Galaxy S i9000 . In fact, it looks pretty much the same as that device or the Galaxy SL i9003 . However, the Galaxy S Plus has a single-core 1.4 GHz processor, a 1650 mAh battery, and it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread from the start.

Details of Motorola’s DROID 2 Global edition prematurely leaked onto the company’s site, confirming the global-roaming CDMA/GSM smartphone and its potentially-potent 1.2GHz processor. The page has since been yanked – though is partly visible in Google’s cache – but not before confirming quadband WCDMA/HSPA for European use, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5-megapixel camera and Android 2.2. There’ll also be a dual LED flash, WiFI b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, as well as the usual microSD slot content with up to 32GB cards.
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is coming to Bell “this fall” which we assume means end of summer or beginning of October.
