Facebook has just announced that it will be releasing a new app, aptly named “Messenger.” The app, clearly taking aim at Google’s Huddles, aggregates texts and Facebook messages, letting you more easily reach your Facebook friends, as well as start group chats with them. June 14th, 2011If you are migrating to a new Android tablet or smartphone from an older device running Symbian users of devices from Nokia and other providers will be able to shoot their contacts and other phone data over to their new Android device using a new app. The new app will also allow the conversion of music and video files to a format that will play on the new Android device and lots more. The app is called MobileGo version 1.0 from Wondershare and it allows the user to connect the Android device to a Windows PC via USB or WiFi.

Report: 99 percent of Android phones vulnerable to “impersonation attacks”
May 18th, 2011Researchers from the Germany’s University of Ulm have discovered that the vast majority of devices running Google’s Android operating system are vulnerable to “impersonation” attacks. These vulnerabilities allow attackers to steal credentials used to access calendars, contacts, and other data stored on Google’s servers. The culprit of the vulnerability is an improper implementation of an authentication protocol known as ClientLogin .
