I’m always eager to check out new phones and devices when they show up at my doorstep, and so it’s fun to videotape my first reactions and impressions about them before actually launching into the full review.
Just as expected, the Motorola Cliq 2 has been realsed on the T-Mobile network. The Cliq 2 was one of the first devices shown off by Motorola at its CES 2011 Press Conference but was quickly overlooked by both the ATRIX and BIONIC. The device’s main feature was to make it more versatile than the Cliq.
For everything you need to know about the affirmed existence of the phone known as CLIQ 2, head over to not only Images Leak but also Hands-On . There you will find that not only that this device runs MOTOBLUR, has a 3.7 inch screen and a 1GHz processor, it also has a titanium hue and a January 9th launch date on T-Mobile. Why am I telling you all this
Posted by: Scott Webster December 29, 2010 Motorola and T-Mobile appear to be prepping a follow-up to their Cliq with a nearly identical looking device, dubbed the Cliq 2. Not a great deal has changed in the design department, save for an ugly looking keyboard that resembles alligator skin. We’re waiting to hear what the internal situation is but we don’t anticipate anything super. Known details include a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, aGPS, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) and MotoBlur. Being that T-Mobile has been pushing their HSPA+ stuff pretty heavily, it’s possible this will feature support for the 4G network. We expect to hear more at CES next week as T-Mobile is rumored to loose this one on us come January 19th.
If you are a fan of game apps, where you can control the environment and build things up along the lines of the old PC standby Sim City, a new game for Android may be of interest to you. The game is called Pocket God and has been on other platforms for a while. The app will sell for 99 cents and you can download it right now, if you dare.
The Motorola CLIQ has finally seen its Android 2.1 Eclair update released. The software – available through Motorola’s support site – takes up 40MB of internal phone storage and takes the CLIQ from 1.5 Cupcake to 2.1, complete with MOTOBLUR. We’ll be interested to hear how you get on with the update, so let us know in the comments
Apparently, the Motorola Cliq has received Android 2.1. No, not officially (we wish), but as a leaked ROM

Up until now all we’ve seen of the droid 2 is a blurry picture that didn’t even show the entire front of the device. Now we finally get a clear look at the full handset. There’s even a video of the boot screen and you can clearly see that it has a full QWERTY keyboard. It looks almost identical to the original droid that we all know and love.

The keyboard has been upgrade to what appears to be a bigger version of the Cliq’s keyboard. Thankfully that dreaded d-pad is gone and the keyboard has a 4 rows. This is a huge improvement over the original. It also looks like it a bit thinner then the original.
It has a 750MHz OMAP, a 3.7 inch touch screen and 8GB of internal. There will also be a preinstalled 8GB microSD card bringing the grand total to 16GB. There’s a 5 MP camera, it likely has an LED flash. Contrary to the early rumors, there’s no HDMI port and it runs Android 2.1. It’s a possibility that it will get 2.2 by the time it’s released but that’s unlikely.
