Cellular South has added yet another Android-powered smartphone to its portfolio, the Motorola Milestone X. You may know this device as the Droid X for Verizon – the original, not the Droid X2 . Since only Verizon has permission to use the Droid brand, the phone obviously needed to be renamed before it could be sold by Cellular South

The Nokia X7 is, as of now, one of the just two upcoming smartphones that will ship with Symbian Anna on board (the other one being the E6). While we can endlessly debate whether Symbian has died already or is going to die slowly from now on, Nokia has a number of devices planned for launch and those launches are happening. US Cellular has announced that they are going to be releasing two new Android devices, the LG Genesis and the HTC Merge . Both devices are coming loaded with Android 2.2, and will come in at the $149.00 price point, after a $100 mail-in rebate.
The HTC Merge , this CDMA version of the Desire Z , is now finally available on US Cellular. Today’s release was expected , even if we first thought the device would launch about a month ago

If for some reason you were still doubting whether the HTC Merge would finally make its way to US Cellular , well, the time has come to doubt no more. It was just yesterday when we found out that the Merge will (apparently) become available on May 31

Last month, US Cellular officially announced that it would be selling the HTC Merge . Back then, the only release time frame the carrier committed to was “next month” – meaning this month, April

The Android 2.2 Froyo update is finally about to hit the Samsung Fascinate, Verizon’s Galaxy S . Rejoice! Sure, almost five entire months have passed since Google has released Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but Verizon customers who own Fascinate smartphones should be happy either way – at least they’re getting a new OS version.
