HTC EVO 3D Software Update, Deletable Bloatware at Launch

For all those of you who got their HTC EVO 3D early OR are getting their HTC EVO 3D tomorrow, I’ve got a couple of tidbits for you that might light your fire. First, there’s a software update coming across that’s 26.59MB large and in charge, and it’ll fix a calendar bug that happens when you’re rummaging around your calendar that’ll force quit you on the spot. Second, the excellent news that you’re able to delete SOME of your bloatware without root.

Motorola Droid 2 Global Gets Gingerbread Update [Soak] This Week

The time has come for the Droid 2 Global to get its taste of the cookie we’ve all been enjoying on our Nexus S, Xperia PLAY, and every other hacked device under the sun for months now. It’s Gingerbread time, and all those signed up for the tester program are being sent the following information so that they might participate in the early dip into the coffee that is Gingerbread, Android 2.3. This update shall indeed bring you and the testers a plethora of improvements, giving you a phone experience like you’ve never experienced before.

HP TouchPad demo videos released

With the TouchPad’s July 1st release date quickly approaching, it only makes sense for HP to release some demo videos to show off some of the cool new features WebOS looks to bring to the tablet market. HP shows off four key features of webOS: Synergy, Just Type, Multitasking, and Notifications. Hands-on: Motorola Photon 4G (video walkthrough)

HTC Flyer Review

Apple responds to iPhone “tracking” concerns

In response to last week’s discovery of a database file in iPhone and iPad backups that stores location data, Apple has released a ten-item Q&A in an attempt to alleviate privacy concerns. Apple claims they have never tracked the location of individual iPhones and have no plans to do so. While stressing the complexity of the issue of location data storage, the release did admit that companies (including Apple) had done a poor job of informing customers how and why such data is stored on their phones.
