Grab Your Nook Color! Mighty Eagle Swoops into B&N Stores

Posted by: Vincent Messina June 28, 2011 Rovio has teamed up with Barnes & Noble to give Nook Color users an exclusive first look at Angry Birds ‘ location based gaming project: “Magic Places.” Any Nook Color user who partakes in some in-store Angry Birds gaming will be treated to an exclusive Angry Birds Mighty Eagle character. Rovio’s new location based project aims to add a real world element into its Angry Birds franchise, allowing for users to unlock special characters and levels just by playing the game in specific locations. It’s not only a great way to encourage more Angry Birds play (as if that’s possible) but it’s also a great way to generate business for participating retailers.

Angry Birds RIO Beach Volley [Full Spoiler]

Today’s the day! It’s the day that the May update for the Angry Birds RIO expansion, one called Beach Volley, and it’s a whole bunch of fun in the sun for hours on end! Actually more like an hour or so if you’re cruising through it with no regard for golden watermelons or three-star perfect scores. What we’ve done, in classic Android Community fashion, is run through the game using our amazing Angry Birds professional gamer Millie the Cat! She’s made it easy for those of you so hungry for the storyline that playing the game just wont do! Have a look at all the levels on the beach below. There’s a few things you should know about this particular expansion, especially if you’ve never played a level of RIO before

Angry Birds Seasons updated with Easter Eggs (iOS, Android, Symbian, WebOS)

Windows Phone Marketplace: Now at 13,000 apps

Windows Phone is definitely picking up the pace now. 10 days after hitting the 12,000 milestone, it’s now at 13,000. In fact, almost 1500 apps have been added in the last 2 weeks, meaning WP7 is at a pace of adding 3,000 apps to its Marketplace per month.
