The popular Android tablet maker Archos have a pretty stellar deal going on right now over at Newegg.com . The Archos 70 is a 7″ Android 2.2 Tablet and it retails for $279 but this weekend only Newegg has it for the low price of $199. It may not be the best tablet around but for the price and specs it is hard to beat

The two new Tablets aren’t the only thing Archos has in their hat of goodies, they are also working on a Home Connect Android device as well as what they are calling a “Smart Home Phone”. The android powered unusual looking internet radio Archos Home Connect is pretty unique and can be used as a remote control and a picture viewer among other things.

Our good pals at Archos have really tossed the basketball at the tower of wine glasses today with news of their brand new Android lineup. They did SORT OF the same thing back in the day when they revealed the first Android tablet – turned out that wasn’t so great – but this time it might be a set of winners

Archos who was one of the first to start making and selling Android tablets back in the Android 1.5 days are about to unleash some information on the next generation of Archos Tablets in Paris come June 23rd. They’ve had some success with Android tablets even though they have not shipped with Google’s blessing and set of special Google Apps such as the Android Market, Gmail, Google Maps and more. Archos has done a pretty good job making older android versions run well on tablets like the Archos 101 and 70 .

We have high price range tablets like the Galaxy Tab, to the low end Sylvania tablet . If you are looking for something right between those two options, perhaps the Archos family of tablets is for you. To sweeten the deal, the Archos line is setup to get the Froyo update, but if you can’t wait for an official update, you can do it yourself. Check out how after the break The Archos Gen-8 Android Tablet line is getting the 2.2 ” Froyo” update
I feel like we are finally starting to see decent Android tablets come into play. They aren’t the super dual core, Tegra 2 monsters we’ve seen sneakies of, but actual usable tablets
November is coming to an end, as we near closer to December the topic on everyone’s mind is the impending release of Android 2.3 Gingerbread. However, thats not all the Android news going around, devices such as the Archos Internet Tablets saw an update to the now current Android 2.2. We also saw the ratings in the Android Market going live today, now developers must also submit a suggested content rating for all applications
