Devs claim payments from Google aren’t matching Amazon Market app sales

There are some Android developers that aren’t happy campers. Apparently, some of the devs have taken to the Google Market forums to complain that the payments they are receiving aren’t matching up with the sales of their apps. The issue isn’t widespread apparently with only a few complaining that their checks are short.

Android 3.2 Honeycomb Guide

You’ve been first on the docket for every upgrade to Honeycomb (save for the 3.1 update, aka the only other update thus far, which went instead to the Verizon version of the XOOM,) and you’re pumped up to see what Android 3.2 will bring.

Amazon leaks Droid Bionic with dock listings

Yep, that there is the Droid Bionic that we have talked about and lusted after for a while now. Yesterday we talked about the photoshopped page that was floating around showing the Bionic, but these are pics of the real deal. They come our way thanks to someone at Amazon that added some docks to the product listings on the site.

Metaps launches AppBonus for Android users

RIM’s BlackBerry Java SDK v7.0 Beta Now Available

June 1st, 2011

Research in Motion has unveiled a beta BlackBerry Java software development kit (SDK) v7.0, offering developers a chance to test their apps on their BlackBerry 7 operating systems. The SDK includes simulators for the new BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone devices and will allow developers to prepare their apps in time for the handsets’ launch.  The BlackBerry App World is currently accepting app submissions for the new devices

New Malware from the Folks That Brought You DroidDream

It’s been a few months since we first reported on the outbreak of “Droid Dream,” a piece of malware which was found present on the Android Market. Now it appears that a new, stripped down DroidDream is appearing in the market, and has affected tens of apps from no less than 6 developers.

Has Google Tweaked Android App Rankings?

There is some suspicion going around that Google has tweaked the ranking algorithm that it uses on the Android Market. The evidence that the rankings have been tweaked come by way of Geoff Cook, the CEO of a social networking site called myYearbook that has an app on the Android Market. According to Cook before March 24, his app suddenly moved from number 63 up to number 11 in the top Free social category on the market
