Analytics firm Flurry reports that between iOS devices and Android the week of Christmas there were 1.2 billion apps downloaded. That over a billion downloads a week mark is expected to come several times in 2012.

Amazon looks to grow their app store and seem to really be ramping up the efforts on the Android front. With the possibility of an Android tablet coming soon and more, they are getting ready to start offering rewards to developers that opt to submit their apps into the Amazon App Store. Yay, That reward is $50 dollars.

Research firm claims Android Market is driven by very active developers

Data from an app rating and discovery company called Mobilewalla has surfaced that digs into the Android Market and found some interesting details about developers for Android. According to the metrics firm, the Android market is led by a number of very prolific app markers.

Devs claim payments from Google aren’t matching Amazon Market app sales

There are some Android developers that aren’t happy campers. Apparently, some of the devs have taken to the Google Market forums to complain that the payments they are receiving aren’t matching up with the sales of their apps. The issue isn’t widespread apparently with only a few complaining that their checks are short.

Amazon leaks Droid Bionic with dock listings

Yesterday we talked about the photoshopped page that was floating around showing the Bionic, but these are pics of the real deal.
