Apple tablet ban overturned in Au, iOS shuns ESRB ratings

November 30th, 2011

The ESRB ratings on video games for consoles and PCs all use letters to warn when a game might not be appropriate for kids. Apple and Google will not use the new mobile Application Rating system apparently essentially making it dead before it launches. I would assume that Apple and Android will have their own ratings system

NFL 2011 App for Honeycomb Tablets

September 11th, 2011

Just in time for Football to officially get started yesterday the NFL has released their official NFL 2011 app for Android tablets. This requires Android 3.0 or higher and so far it is amazing. I’m way too excited about this because the NFL Mobile app from Verizon doesn’t support tablets and everything else just doesn’t compare.

Google Reader v1.0.1 for Tablets App Review

August 18th, 2011

Ever have the feeling that it would make more sense for a group of developers to WAIT to release an app rather than sent it out with a less than optimal user interface? Google didn’t wait to release Google Reader back in the days when there were only handsets around, they jammed it out there and it looked pretty good, but bigger screens were directly on the horizon, and when these bigger screens arrived in tablet form, Google got busy. I mean got busy several months later, 3 quarters into the same year the Motorola XOOM was released near the beginning of, with a whole slew of tablets out ready and raring to Google Reader some feeds but having a non-fantastic official app to do it with – what’s one to do?! You add another column, that’s what

August 12th, 2011

What we’re getting here today is the newest version of one of our favorite news apps, that being News360, one we called the App of the Week a few weeks ago , now in its second full version, version 2.0, one that introduces the social networking world into the tablet in a very large way for the iOS version and a soon to be large way for Android. The biggest change in the Android version of this application at the moment is the instant access to news videos. Right alongside tabs for your regular news feed at the awesome 360 view of images linking to news stories is a Videos tab that’ll allow you to check out the news in purely video form.

Android Market Web Version Gets Another Update

July 31st, 2011

The Android Market when you’re not on your device hasn’t seen a lot of love in the past but as of late things have changed a bit. I personally use market.android.com all the time for its convenience. Just a few days ago it received a fancy update adding graphs to application download history and although small it was a nice touch
