My kids like Cut the Rope better and I always know when my daughter has the tablet because I hear her say, “AHHHHH! Eat it stupid monster!†everytime she misses. Om Nom, the green candy fiend from the game is going plush in September

June 28th, 2011Posted by: Vincent Messina June 28, 2011 Rovio has teamed up with Barnes & Noble to give Nook Color users an exclusive first look at Angry Birds ‘ location based gaming project: “Magic Places.” Any Nook Color user who partakes in some in-store Angry Birds gaming will be treated to an exclusive Angry Birds Mighty Eagle character. Rovio’s new location based project aims to add a real world element into its Angry Birds franchise, allowing for users to unlock special characters and levels just by playing the game in specific locations. It’s not only a great way to encourage more Angry Birds play (as if that’s possible) but it’s also a great way to generate business for participating retailers.

NOOK Color Gets Fandango, Evernote, and Several Exclusives
June 24th, 2011That wily Android tablet we all know and love, the one put out by Barnes & Noble by the name of NOOK Color (or NOOKcolor if you remember how it was written at the onset) is now popping with several new titles this week! Included in this release are several apps that we’ll get to later in this post and some excellent digital picture books with over 15 never-before-seen interactive Disney Cars and Cars 2 titles.

Angry Birds Seasons Next Update Dubbed Summer Pignic
June 22nd, 2011As the title suggests, there will be another update to the brightest of all Angry Birds games, Angry Birds Seasons. This is a slight departure from the usual update string coming from said game as in the past they’ve mostly been official holidays, (or veiled references to those holidays, as it were,) this update being simply a lovely afternoon event in the sun. This update is sure to bring a couple new building bits, some new bonus points here and there, and of course some new hats for the piggies! If you watch the preview below very closely, you’ll see that worst of all birds, the green on, flying overhead in his ever so evil flipping way, that pig certainly in trouble if there’s a skilled assessing behind the tapping

Angry Birds Mine and Dine [Full Spoiler]
June 21st, 2011As you may have already heard, guessed, or found out for yourself via paying very close attention to the newest apps on the market list, the original Angry Birds has been updated with 15 new pig-ridden levels for your full enjoyment! This whole new scenario is set underground, where the pigs have taken it upon themselves to continue to hide away your bird eggs, seeking to tower themselves below some rather precariously hanging stalagtites – that’s the kind hanging from above! See below for a FULL SPOILER of this newest set of Angry action. This update includes 15 levels but is host to 45 levels when it really comes down to it. This Mine and Dine update shows itself to have three screens at least of levels, only one single set of 15 available to you upon completion of the first Angry Birds set of levels, as always.
