The past few weeks sure have been a good time to be a fan of Android Community as we have been giving away Android Honeycomb tablets. We have seen more than a few leaks for the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 Tablet but today I actually have the device here to get the good times rolling. Lenovo officially released it back on July 19th and we were able to get some hands-on real quick, but today is our official hands-on and full unboxing with video and all the photos you need.
Today has been a busy one in the world of Android but I know you don’t all have time to look through all the posts and forums so this is a little round-up just for you. I’ll mention a few articles and link to them for your convenience. Lets start with SwiftKey X as it just launched on the market today and is available for both phones and tablets (not just Honeycomb either).
We have heard more than a few comments over the past few weeks and months regarding an Android Tablet that might come in a brown unmarked box with that Amazon logo across the side. We have been hearing a few of the same comments as recent stories like this one in the Wall Street Journal regarding when we might actually see these tablets come to life. Last we heard they were expected sometime this holiday season and we even heard a few codenames , but latest news and tips are saying much earlier, possibly as soon as October.

Vizio’s Android Tablet was first seen back in January at CES. We havn’t really heard much since then, but we have stumbled upon some new details today on Vizio’s first attempt at a tablet. The tablet will run on Gingerbread along with Vizio’s custom interface which will be similar to Vizio’s Internet App Plus ecosystem, although Vizio stated that they would be willing to switch to Honeycomb if they think it will be stable enough on the device.
Sony’s first Android-powered tablet may hit the stores in Europe at the end of September, if a private note sent from Sony’s marketing group and seen by Engadget is to be believed. The note did not mention a name for the tablet, and said pre-orders would start in August
No Woot-off going on today but the ever so popular woot.com does have a little android treat for sale today.

DigiTimes is reporting that Taiwan based Quanta Computer has received a monthly order from Amazon for up to 800,000 tablet PCs at peak production. The tablets are expected to ship in the second half of 2011, making an Amazon Tablet ready to hit the market just in time for the holidays. Quanta is no stranger to tablets, being an OEM partner for both RIM and Sony.
