New Galaxy S2 leaked specs claim Snapdragon CPU inside
February 11th, 2011Why Samsung won’t use its own Orion (now known as Exynos ) processor inside the Galaxy S2 is a bit surprising but if the new specs leak posted by PocketNow are true, the Galaxy S2 will boast a 1.2GHz Qualcomm’s 8260 Snapdragon processor with Adreno 205 graphics.

Samsung brings Gem Android phone to Alltel
February 11th, 2011Samsung has officially introduced Gem Android phone for the US market. The phone will be available via Alltel and as we expected it is an entry-level Android device that will go for free on two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate. Gem runs Android 2.1 OS and comes with 3.2-inch WQVGA display, 800MHz CPU, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.2MP camera, quick social network access with Social Hub, 124MB internal memory and microSD card slot supporting up to 16GB
Samsung Gem (SCH-I100) appears on Samsung US site
January 21st, 2011Samsung’s Gem (SCH-I100) that was first leaked in August last year has been listed on Samsung’s US website. Full details of the phone has been published which if we go by the specs indicates an entry-level phone. The phone will run on Android 2.1 OS and feature 3.2-inch WQVGA display, 800MHz CPU, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.2MP camera, quick social network access with the integrated Social Hub, 124MB internal memory and microSD card slot supporting up to 16GB.

Samsung Ch@t 350 (C3500) leaks out
January 18th, 2011Samsung will reveal a new messaging phone aimed at avid texters. The low-end Ch@t 350 (C3500) will run a proprietary OS and feature quad-band GSM support, 2.4-inch display with 262K colors support (240×320 pixels), horizontal sliding QWERTY keyboard, FM Radio with recorder, music player, Bluetooth 2.1, 2MP camera, microUSB 2.0 port, 12 hours of talk time and microSD slot supporting up to 8GB. No word on the pricing or availability but we expect it to be official by next month.
French e-tailer is selling Samsung Galaxy Player 50
October 8th, 2010Samsung’s Android-based PMP, Galaxy Player 50 (YP-G50) that was first shown off at the IFA last month is now being sold by a French e-tailer. The player is priced at 199 euros for 8GB and 249 euros for 16GB internal memory. The portable media player runs on Android 2.1 and features a 3.2-inch display (400×240), 2MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DLNA, DivX support, SoundAlive, and microSD card slot.

Samsung Omnia Pro 4 comes as Omnia 735 in Germany
August 20th, 2010Samsung’s Omnia Pro 4 that went official at CommunicAsia in June has been announced for the German market. It will be called as Omnia 735 and run Windows Mobile 6.5.3 OS. Available from this month, Omnia 735 features a 2.62-inch touchscreen display, 3G support, Office Mobile 2010, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.2MP camera, FM Radio and microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB

Samsung Galaxy 3 (I5800) announced for Germany
