T-Mo Announces G-Slate Pricing: $529.99 With 2 Year Contract

Posted by: Thijs Koot March 22, 2011 There have been a lot of T-Mo customers who have been eagerly awaiting a pricing announcement for the LG Android powered G-Slate tablet device.  Word finally came down today in the form of a very short press release (available after the break), and the price for the unit is not as good of news as people were hoping.  To get your hands on the 3D capable, Honeycomb powered device, you are going to have to shell out $529.99 with a 2 year commitment, and that is after getting a mail in rebate of $100.  Still, people were lining up to buy the Xoom when it was released at a higher price, what do you think?  Is the $529.99 price point acceptable to you?

Android Market coming to Google TV platform soon

Google TV hasn’t been that popular so far despite the fact that the platform has some interesting features. The main problem is that many of the major content carries like the major TV networks and Hulu have blocked Google TV users from being able to view their content on the TV.

Motorola Olympus/Everest may be two different tablets

There have been some rumors and hints floating around recently pointing to an Android smartphone called the Motorola Olympus under development. A new product that surfaced recently called the Motorola Everest makes some think that rather than smartphones, these two devices might actually be Android tablets. The tablets would allegedly run Tegra 2 from NVIDIA inside and would make for some impressive mobile platforms with suspected 7-inch and 10-inch screens.

Vodafone cancels its 360 line of handsets, including the H2

It seems to be product line cancellation season. Microsoft did it to the Kin phones , and now Vodafone announced it won’t be releasing any more “360″ phones. The 360 services suite however will continue to exist, they just won’t be making any more 360-branded handsets.
